No need to reverse up Berrydale now. Younger readers will not remember when some cars had to climb steep hills in reverse, this being the lowest gear.

Those were the days. Still looks pretty steep to me. Been over 40 yrs since I last travelled the route. Good to see developement happening at last.

Reminds me of the 'fun' that going on holiday used to be - up at 6 am to catch the early Ola crossing, then tank down the road (insofar as could tank down the old A9) to Inverness etc. If you were lucky, you could make Aberdeen by teatime.

These improvements will allow a clear run up for the next generation "Newclear" plant to be built!!
