Buckle's Tower

Click to View shows the too'er approximately 100 years previously- it's a testament to Mr Buckle (Jackie? Geordie?) that his tower is almost as good as new still.

It's great to see something pointless done really well, just for the satisfaction of doing it well. Ladies- this is why men dig holes in the sand while at the beach.

Though not given, since childhood anyway, to hole-digging at the beach, I take Willie Wattters' point. It's interesting that in both pictures, a century or so apart, the photographer was influenced to tilt the horizon down to the right to 'compensate' for the tower's marked lean to the left.
