On the back row, the first person is Miss Robertson, then Kathie Hutchison, then me, Magnus Grimond, and then Kathie's son, Stewart. I would say the two Hewisons on this row were first David and then Robert, but I might be wrong. Kenny Fraser is at the end next to Evan McGillivray.
On the second row, the person standing below Robert Hewison looks like Angela Mackay and two more along to her left it looks like Angela Dunnet, with Alan Hourston standing at the end next to Evan McGillivray.
On the next (third) row, sitting at the end below Mr. McG. is, I think, Alan's brother Raymond. Next to him looks like Maureen Burgess and fourth along looks like Linda Hutchison, with Fiona Esson next along. At the other end, below Michael Kirkness, the person might be Robert Thomson, with maybe Dennis and David Halcro (not necessarily that way round) next to him. Then maybe Albert Hewison and two and three along from him were a couple of boys from Australia who were only at the school for a short time (was one called Gregory?). Then comes Robbie Fraser and Brian Clouston.
Going to the right-hand end of the fourth row, it looks like Kenny Slater, with Robert Scott next to him. Then five more along, below Brian Clouston, could be Carol Craigie. Going right to the left end, that looks like Kenneth Aim, with Ingram Merriman next to him and then, possibly, Graham Shearer.
In the front row, second from the left, looks like it might be Anne Clouston.

Sorry, I made some mistakes in my naming of the pupils in the picture. I think Ingram Merriman is third from the right in the second row from the back, between Stuart Wisdom on his left and Alistair Miller on his right. Then the boy second in from the left in the second row from the front next to Kenneth Aim might be Leslie Merriman. The boy behind Kenny might be Robert Laughton, not Robert Thomson. Then fifth from the left in the next row, between Albert Hewison and the boys from Australia, might be Gary Harper. In the row behind, the second girl on the left in the girls' section, below Anne Mackay, is possibly June Hewison. One person missing from our class seems to be Hamish Tulloch.

Sorry Magnus I am not in this photo as we had moved to Quanterness but the girl on the second row ninth from the left wearing the white cardigan is my cousin Susan Spence

Thanks for putting me right on that Carol. I remember Susan fine.

Just to say I remember Graham Leslie coming to school in the boat direct from the Holm. But I think that was rare. I might be wrong, but I think mostly he came across to Davie's Brig and came on his bike or was picked up by Duncan or Stuart Pottinger in the car.
