I think this is the first get-together of the Orkney Strathspey and Reel Society in the Cosmo. I'm sure my next door neighbour, Jim Tulloch O'Wald, Firth, is the young man standing on the left behind the double bass player. The year is a guess at 1952.

It's the Strathspey & Reel photo, taken on the Cosmo stage in the late forties, or early fifties

That's my grandfather Willie (Bill) Grieve on front row, 1st left. Could it be the late Dougie Shearer on double bass?

Next to grandfather is Bill Work (I think), then Ronnie Aim. Second from right, second row is a pal of grandfather's called Thompo.

The gentleman 5 from the left on the front row is my granda, George Stuart.
