My parents owned the sweet shop on the first floor, entered just off the Bridge Street entrance to JAA. I remember this night very well, I was 10 and we traveled to Kirkwall from Evie. We were lucky,the fire stopped just short of our shop.

That would have been about the time our old house was demolished and my sister & her man would have been starting to build its replacement, if I mind right.
