A vast crowd gathered to see the Queen Mother visit the cathedral. Note that the big paved platform in front of the cathedral is not there.

What date would this be? It seems to pre-date "Blocky Bill's" Rolls Royce...

1956 was when this photo and several others of this visit were taken by my mother. She had written on the back the year and the event.
