Ashore?

Date is a guess. I think this ship was in a spot of bother. It seems to be parked at the east side of the pier, very near the shore. Does anyone have any details?

Comments:
I remember this ship breaking her mooring ropes and being driven ashore in front of the Queens Hotel. She knocked down the sea-wall and stove in the back of the wooden building as can be seen in the photo. She was taken into the basin and beached stern-in at the west side of the Corn Slip where repairs were carried out.
I can't be sure of the year but 1957 wouldn't be too far out.

In a book I have on Gruno, a Dutch chartering company, it has the Holwierde going ashore on the 26/10/59, she was in with timber from Finland.
