RNAS Hatston from the air in 1941. An image that I had downloaded off the web sometime ago, cant remember web address. A lot of change over the last 60 odd years , perhaps Craig Taylor could send his kite camera up for an a modern day photo.

Says something about the wind that there are four runways!

According to bloke who did the tour in the summer the FAA were used to landing into the wind on carriers so needed the runway to be as near to into the wind as possible, hence the four runways.
