Nice to see Rossland Garage flying the flag! The flagpole was never used when I remember and eventually came a cropper on a windy night in the 80s. This also shows the building before it was extended to the rear and when there was one BP pump and one Shell one. I'm not sure of the car, possibly a Sunbeam-Talbot with the "pillarless" design between the rear doors and rear quarter lights.

The man on the left holding a plan? looks like Peter Baikie who was a foreman with Orkney Builders. He was also the foreman builder for the Power Station.
