Looking up Dundas Crescent in the 'Great Snow of 96'. I think I was in Edinburgh at the time and principally recall regular new items when Sally Magnusson would be asking Dave Gray if he had the soup on. I think it was jealousy that makes me remember this [writes Steven Heddle].

The interviews that Steven mentions (above) were pretty strange. I was snowed in and Reporting Scotland did two interviews with me about what I was doing. Just so I had something to speak about - I made a pot of soup and a Shepherds pie. Years later I met the late Magnus Magnusson and he immediately remembered my pot of soup. A career in broadcasting defined by a pot of soup - Ho hum. I remember the green at the top of School Place - there used to be a horse in it when I was a peedie boy living at number 7.

That is not the bit o' grass I nam looking for Dave, but thanks anyway.
The patch I am looking for was triangular, and was situated in the middle of the junction - probably doing the job that the bollards do now. Does anyone know anything about it?
