Sourin School, Rousay 1935. Teachers are Mr Wallace, and Ruby Brown. I have a note of the names of all the pupils, but will add them later, after someone has had a go at trying to name them.

I have never seen this photo before so will be printing it off. My mum Mabel Grieve is in the second row from the back, sixth from the left. A lot more of my relations will be there so look forward to you adding the names. I think I see Bertie and Arnold Grieve, Kathleen Munro and ?Lyon.

I have always had a copy of this photograph and it appears in my book 'From my Rousay Schoolbag'. 11 of the 33 pupils in the photo were in my class. A few years ago we held a class re-union and 7 out of the 11 turned up.

The girl identified by Sarah Kirkness is Mabel Grieve of Cruannie, and not Kathy Munro, Mabel's cousin.

My brother's daughter Teresa is so like mum in this photo. Lovely when their features carry on in their grandbairns.
