Skatehorn

Postcard from Dad's photos... this one was framed on his wall for some reason!

The caption on the back of this EDINBURGH printed postcard (how his infamy must have spread!) says "Skatehorn - a well-known Orcadian worthy around the turn of the century"

I wonder how many of our current characters would be fitting of being imortalised in postcard form?

And just look at the state of that penny farthing!!!

Comments:
My Grandad, Allan, could be seen as the modern day Skatehorn, he is always going aroond Kirkwall on his bike, in rain, hail or shine!!

I will have to get a photo of him on it and put it up on here.

Nice to see him in his Coastguard days in Sandy's photo, as well as a photo of my wife's (Senga) grandad Eddie Peace as well.
