Kirkwall harbour from top of Wideford

Taken July 1980 from the top of Wideford hill. I couldn't afford a telephoto lens in those days, so this was taken through a pair of binoculars. Is the red roofed building in the foreground the old golf club?

Great photo. The reflection in the water is great. The boats - Orcadia and Islander I think - look like models. Who needs a better camera with photos like this.

A great photo Alan. Just shows you what a bit of ingenuity can do. This digital stuff is spoiling us. But we probably said the same thing about the wheel.
