A strange lifeboat in Kirkwall Harbour - 22nd March, 1989. See also picture #3789

Not a strange Lifeboat but the former Grace Paterson Ritchie which was based at Kirkwall in the late 60s early 70s. She was later sold by RNLI to Icelandic Lifeboat service and I think made a courtesy call en route to Iceland from Poole.

Delivery trip to Iceland started in Buckie, and the year was 1988 or 1989.
