Here's another one for you Alison. I used to play on that shore sometimes. It made a change from falling in the Peedie Sea. Much the same smell though!

Cheers, Sandy! I remember raiding parties along there with carrier bags to collect coal that washed up... although sometimes it was wise to give the lumps a prod with a stick just to make sure it WAS coal you were about to pick up!

Then there was always nicking the daffodils that grew down the Stony Loan (all for my auntie who wasn't averse to getting minors to commit theft for her!)
