My boys had balaclavas knitted for them a couple of winters ago by an elderly neighbour!! I suspect the art will die out with the older generation!! Practical, warm headgear!!

I can get them in France. They are called passe-montagne. They are a bit more modern - 100% polyester - They are really warm. I use them for cycling in the winter. The kids all wear them here when it gets is really cold.
