Norma Campbell has spotted Mr and Mrs Tom King (Tom is the bearded cap in the back row, and also later my metalwork teacher at the Grammar School) and Mr and Mrs Angus Harcus (in the middle of the front row).

Front row 4th from right is Peter Leslie - wasn't he the shop manager, and his son Eoin manager of Boots? Front row right looks like Billy Tait.

My parents, Alistair and Alison Robertson (nee King) are seated in centre of second row looking very loved-up with Mum sitting on Dad's knee!

That looks like the late Norman Sinclair from Burray standing third from the left. After he left Taits he worked for my parents at Rossland Garage. He once showed me an old ha'penny he carried around with him dated 1926, which he said was not only the year he was born but the exact number of days he had spent in hospital with TB as a young man.

Further to Shirley's earlier "identity parade" Standing extreme right in the back row is Mrs Sylvia Wishart who's husband Arnold is seated in the front row between Peter Leslie and Mr. Bews.The couple 3rd in from the left in the front row are Clinton and Venus Hourston. ( The other Mr. Hourston is now best known for his Stop Smoking advert on TV)
