Shore Street,Kirkwall, when the sea used to come right up to the road.
What is now called The Shore, formally the The Queens Hotel can be seen to the right.
The area where this where this photo was taken is now the site of Orkney Ferries Office.
The date is a pure guess, if anyone knows better I am sure Steven will correct it.
