Hid fairly minds me on aboot the peedie but an ben whar I wis born in Harray, bit hid didna hiv a bonny roosty tin roof. Wur roof wis flagstones wi divits on top. Miny a gablik fell oot o hid. Wan day a Jeeny hunder legs fell intae me brither's soup. Weel, maet wis rationed and money wis gey scarce so I suppose we should hiv been thankfl. I still mind the night afore we left that hoose tae move tae Holm. I slept in the box bed wi me mither an me sister. Me faither wis in the war. I woke up in the night jist burstin and geed oot tae the bucket in the chalmers an I wis right scerd o the dark an o German planes comin. The yells fae each side o me woke me up. Me mither wis right pitten aboot. The larry wis comin in the morneen tae shift wur grain o stuff an the chaffy bedseck wis jist sirpin.

I can confirm that the house is Daisybank in Deerness, Orkney.
We have recently purchased this property and will shortly be starting renavations.
