James writes:
'Please find attached a photograph c1900 of stage coach owner and driver James Baikie of Arsdale Costa,Evie. He is with his coach which he built himself. The picture was taken in Stromness c 1900. He did a twice weekly run from Evie to Stromness and return. Other runs were also made.'

Lucky to have such an interesting old family photograph. Who are the passengers and are there other Baikie family photographs on-line? All the more interesting as my mother's family married into a branch of the Baikie-Bruce-Mitchells in 1890.
