In relation to picture #2771. This old bath can still be seen at number 23 Bridge Street. It sits in the middle of the bathroom floor and takes up a lot of room. It is well over sixty years old but how old, I don't know. I wonder why it was built like this and are there any more old houses with baths in the middle of the room in Orkney?

That's a fine big bath! brings back memories of the one that was at our house at North Row, Longhope until 1995 and it would have been about 66 years old by then.
