Rousay rising

Rousay rising - well not quite, but it appears to be slightly higher than the often quoted 820 feet or 250m. Survey grade GPS conveniently lashed to the marker post at what turned out to be a false summit of Blotchnie Fiold at the small cairn. Just to the south there's a slightly higher point at nearly 824 feet or 251.1m. It's a hill the Ordnance Survey have missed over the years, no trig pillar, and no spot height on their maps.

Comments:
a great spot on the Island. The line of sight view there leads directly into the Gannets and soft ground so walkers beware. :)

The summit is also recognised in the SOTA program as Blotchnie Fiold GM/SI-178
