The caption on the back of this photo is Bob Harrold and his daughter Margaret. Can anyone tell me if there is any connection with this Bob and the man in picture #2614 and picture #2615. This Bob was also a keen fisherman and I believe played in Kirkwall Town Band. The date is a guess.

As a young boy staying in Old Scapa Road, I remember Bob Harrold whose house was towards the top of Wellington Street, on the left-hand side going down. Bob was employed at the Glaitness Laundry as the van driver. I do not believe there is any connection to the pictures to which you refer.

I believe this is a picture of my mum, Margaret Petrie (nee Harrold) and my grandfather. He was a postman and did play in the Kirkwall Town Band, but I don't know about his interest in fishing. His father was R G Harrold, watchmaker.

Bob Harrold played in the town band.I'm not sure if he played 2nd horn or baritone. My father played tenor horn in the same band. There were a lot of members in the band then. I used to practice with them sometimes.

This photo is Bob Harrold and daughter Margaret. At one time they stayed in Victoria Street where the health offices now are. Latterly they stayed in St Catherines Place. Bob went fishing with me quite a few times- he also was a member of the Cage Birds and had canarys.
