This is the Royal Fleet Auxiliary tanker "Orangeleaf" alongside the Golden Wharf at Lyness circa 1971. Photograph was taken from the sea cadet launch while on camp in Hoy.

What a size them tankers were along side the Lyness pier. Good times back then, us locals got invited aboard sometimes after the Lyness club dance. Free drink and food what more could you ask for and some of the local young men would provide the super music on their guitars and accordions.
