Day out in South Ronadshay

I guess this photo was taken in the early 1930s ,at a family picnic on Grimness Head South Ronaldshay.
Now the difficult part the names,.From the left
Rita Scott,Nell Wylie (Burray),Magnus Scott.Ruth Scott,Fiddler dont know,Kitty Scott,young Sandy Scott,Dont know,Jim Scott and Jim Scott junior.

Now that I have studied the picture,I do not think the child on Kitty Scotts knee is me. Cousin Jim was at least five years older than me. I was born in 1933. I wonder if the child could be Jim's sister Iris?

Well Sandy, it could be Iris,but I'm sure I showed this to Iris many years ago and she didn't say it was herself. Maybe Shiela Wylie, Nellies daughter.

Hi Ian, the woman is Kate Goodsir and her husband Bob and the child will be theirs. The fiddler is a Louttit possible Ernie

Thanks Bob nothing wrong with your memory,I did recall the fiddler was one of the Louttits.I will amend my photo.
Yes Carrie it is a excellent piece of family history.

I'm quite sure the fidler is Ernie Louttit, lived next my grandparents (Innes)(Crowsnest) in a place called Lobers. The Croft is still there with red front doors. Her spouse was Peggy famous in those days for her baking skills.
