Three heads of department at a KGS netball match
In the doorway, from the left: Ian Cruikshanks (music), JEV Ralston (history) and Jimmy Dewar (geography). Mr Cruikshanks is disobligingly obscuring his face with his foot, no doubt ashamed to be photographed smoking!
The picture is set in the doorway of the concrete hut in the boys' playground. The room on the left was Mr. Cruikshanks' music room. The occasion was a big netball match. Girls were allowed in the boys' playground only to play netball.
The photo was taken by John Taylor.

Just like in your other picture Bill - the room to the right?

I'm not sure what the room on the right was used for at that time. As far as I remember, there were three rooms in this hut, with two sets of steps. The room on the extreme left was Mr. Cruikshanks' (music) room and the room on the extreme right was Miss Mainland's (commercial) room.

It was the music room!

The room at the far end -right- used to be the Qualifying class taught by Mr 'Pansy' Taylor.
