The late Mr Issac Moar fae Hoy

The late Mr Issac Moar fae Hoy seen here I think wearing some badge of office from the Post Office.

The reason I have put this photograph on is to tell of a powerfull almost "Churchillian" public speech Isaac made following the loss of the Longhope Lifeboat when some doubt as to whether the station could remain operational or not.
Issac as Vice Chairman of the Station Branch said these most powerful words:
"The RNLI cannot ever and never will do any such thing as as take our Lifeboat from us here in Longhope".
Issac earned the unofficial title "Lord Provost of Hoy" Issac was a County Counciller for many years and indeed he got a hell of a lot done that otherwise would never have happened, its a pity that we dont have his like again wae a bit o clout.
