I took this photo in Beak’s fifth year English class when he wasn’t looking; maybe he was out of the room judging by the relaxed mood. (No disrespect intended by the nickname, Mr. Stephen!) The scholars are from left to right Michael Corsie, Alan Nixon, (camera-shy) William Cowsell and Sheila Twatt.
Those who attended the old KGS in the 1960s will remember that Beak’s room was on the ground floor, opposite the down staircase, next to Harry’s (ie Mr.McKerron’s) office. Note the wainscoting and the ubiquitous map of the world.
