Kirkwall Harbour Office Barometer (Case in need of TLC) was there for many a year but has been removed for a while.

All that mercury in a public place! Probably been removed on public safety grounds. Couldn't risk a vandal sueing for mercury poisoning Neil!

Barometer can now be seen in position outside of the present harbour office on Kirkwall Harbour
