Thanks for contributing this photo, which I have just shown to Jim's daughter Rita. She was delighted to see it, and thought that by the state of the dungarees there must have been a cement boat in, as he kept an ould pair especially for that work. Bessie Costie was a sister of Chrissie Costie the writer of dialect poetry.
