Daniell print of Bishop's Palace

Miniature facsimiles of drawings and engravings by Wm. Daniell dated 1821. The Archway before being moved onto the wall of the Bishops Palace in Watergate. Added by Phil Brough.

Phil interested to see the Daniell prints as I have 4. Will need to look them out but seem to recall there is one from the Bignold looking onto the back of the Earl's Palace, another of Old Man of Hoy and a couple of the Cathedral.
I also have a picture that I got from the late "Tiny" Leonard off the Watergate taken from the Cathedral. Must say that the picture gives a different view on where the arch was located and the walls around it and the Tower.
My Daniell prints came from the late John (Johnny) Sinclair that lived in Buttquoy - you might remember him as a joiner. He lodged with my grandparents in Albert Sq when he first moved to the town from Sanday.The prints all have a very heavy oak frame, I can only assume that John made the frames.
