Merlin Rocket 407 is First Attempt sailed by my uncle Dan Grieve, Snipe H10 is Valhalla - possibly Herbert MacKenzie at the time. Later H10 was owned by Edwin Rendall and then Brian Aim.

Well, well, what a surprise! I was Dan's crew that day. I remember it well because it was the only time I ever sailed with Dan in a regatta.

Yes,Raymond, that was indeed me who was sailing Valhalla at that time and the late John Dearness of Southfield , Burray was my first class crew. No jam cleats for the jib sheets but if John was told to keep them tight, tight they stayed.
Added by Herbert Mackenzie on 27 September 2011
The Valhalla H10 was owned and sailed by myself in the photograph, it had a blue hull when I bought it from Herbert and I painted it white with light blue deck.
