Is that the Longhope memorial on the right?

I see the memorial on the right hand side of the photo, is the hoose on the bank next to the Sheiling ( Jimmy & Doreen Swansons )
Added by Keith Dempsey on 16 August 2010
I think I remember Jock and Madgie Stout staying there in the 1950's
Added by Beryl Simpson on 16 August 2010
Jock and Madgie Stout lived at the Anchorage which was at the other side of the memorial near to the wall of the Royal Hotel
Added by Moira Kent (nee Craigie) on 17 August 2010
My memory slipped up there Moira.
Emily and Geordie Kirkpatrick lived at the Anchorage after Jock and Madgie and I was in the house many times.
I wonder if Harbour View was moved next to Bob's garage?
Added by Beryl Simpson on 17 August 2010
can't help there as I left the island in 1957 and Jock and Madgie went to Norking after we left there

Naa, Naa Beryl Harbour View, stood till I think Jimmy Swanson bought the ground fae the British Legion or wiz hid the Taylor woman at the Ness?? I cinna jist mind noo, anyway hid wiz in a gae ruinous state when wae were young, Cycle Bob moved tae the bigger garage along the road and built another wooden house beside it.
Bob like all the Johnston,s was a hard worker and remember he ran the garage and car hire as well as building several projects for himself, sadly he did not live a long life.
Listen Beryl mibbe thee memory is jist gaan a wee bit noo yir comman on in years!!.
