I think this is a bonnie peedie thing but not sure what the name of it is,maybe someone can help with this.Picture was taken on Hoy 22nd July 2010.

This could be the Rusty Tussock Moth or Vapourer, Orgyia antiqua

I've been fencing some meadow land recently and every fence post is covered with these. Never seen them before either.
