Pirie-Tait golden wedding newspaper report

Newspaper report of the event. (see picture #23978)

The Golden Wedding couple were my Great grandparents, they were both passed away before I was born, therefore i never met them but only rely on the fond memories my father had of his grandparents.

Hope this solves the puzzle for Fred.

Their headstones can be found near the centre walk through the old church yard in Orphir.

Thanks Morag, I will let my relatives in the US know, if I can remember who sent me the copy of the photograph.

I was delighted to see this newspaper cutting and the previous photo. My husband is descended from James Pirie's sister Euphemia, who married Thomas Donaldson and lived at Donaldson's Cottage in Orphir. Now I just wish I could find a photo of her! Do I have permission to add these two items to my family history records please?
