Looks as if O&Z Assn moved from silver medals to bronze at some point.

Hae, Stewart such medals were not given at the South Side School- at least I never saw one!!. I think all pupils at whur school were gold medelists!!.(I might be a bit bias)!!.
My brother Billy was awarded the Dux prize at the North Walls School maybe around 1952-55 (secondary) but only received a cheap book on boxing as a prize. The Head Master didn't like pupils who came from the other schools on the island, thinking only pupils from North Walls school had been given a good education at primary level. Oh whur family were not bitter (girr)!!.

Must have been degrading right enough John, for the sooth side hivan tae get properly educated in the north side school, but look whar it got you, you are a pillar o the community noo... maybe ready for an MBE...you deserve one ..
