I guess the Health & Safety man had the day off.

Health and Safety in those days was sensible, not the farce it has now become. Although I remember Kenny Findlay 'painter' standing OUTSIDE on the first floor window ledge overlooking Broad Street. Holding on with one hand whilst he painted the window frames. Thought he would save a pound on scaffolding. Clerk of works spied him and had a hairy fit, Kenny reluctantly had to get his purse out.

That sounds just like dad!!! He's no changed much just no as fit as he was. He would still have us doing that if he could get away with it.
