Sister Wray and Doctor Pyle

Sister Wray used to see to the welfare of the gutter lasses during the Stronsay herring fishing season. Doctor Pyle was the Stronsay doctor for many years.

I remember Dr Pyle well and his sons, Ronnie and Billy. His brother, "Uncle" Graham would visit too and always bought me a ginger beer at Peter Lennie's shop. I used to cycle to Dr Pyle's home to pick up Grandad's medicine. That's going back a few years, Bill.
