Hell is a place in Birsay

Hell Birsay

The house known as Hell was recorded on a 1760 map of Birsay as Quoyhell. As it stood on Kirk land it later had a more appropriate name of Glebelands and was recorded in the Census as Outslap. Unoccupied for the last fifty years or so.
