Poor day for the Mull Head walk

Taken looking over to the Gloup/Mull Head from Pool in Deerness in October 2009, nice flat calm day! The cliffs at the Gloup I would think are 50 to 60 foot? How high are the waves!?

Hi Stewart
I took it with my Nikon D300 but I never bothered set the correct date on the camera, so when you right click with your mouse on the picture and scroll down to click properties it will say created 12/3/09 but I actually took the picture in October this year 2009.
Thanks
Paul

I think this photo is fantastic. I can't stop looking at it. I can almost hear the wind and the sea! Mmmmm that salt sea air is lovely. I've been away from it for too long!

Thank you Barbara
The sea certainly has immense power and the noise was deafening.

I have waited a while to get this photo, last year around Feb/March it was also like it but I didnt take the time to photograph the scene. I look forward to the next time conditions are right and I will try to get better pictures.
All the very best

Paul

Paul looking at the date and time you took the photo, I would hazard a guess that this would have been the same day as I could see the waves breaking over Hellier Holm from where I was standing at Hatston. At first I wondered what I was seeing over the Carness headland, and then I realised it was waves crashing over the cliffs.
