I discovered that he is interred in the old section of St. Olaf's cemetery and died as a result of gas poisoning. Presumably in the trenches so he must have suffered a long time.

Hello,
Albert Gullion was my uncle, brother of my Dad Izat Harcus.
Since I wasn't on the planet when he passed I never had the pleasure of knowing Albert however his photo has pride of place among my family pictures.

It's nice to know that a picture found in a boxful of old photos has proved to be of value to someone out there. You just never know,do you?

Albert ("Abbo" to his family) died at home after being gassed during the war. He lived for some time after the war, but was never well.
His four brothers moved to North America, 2 in the U.S.A. and 2 in Canada.
Albert's youngest brother was my Dad.
There is a picture of Albert, signed "Yours, Abbo" on my family room wall.
