In this one from Kirkwall I can I/d the following.
Back row, from the left, No3 is Dave Bews.No4 is Teddy Corsie.No5 is Archie Kemp.
Along the front row, 4th from the left is my old colleague Josh Gourlay and 4th from the right is Johnny Morrison.

Peter Burges flagged this photo up to me. I can only name three at the moment. From the left...
Back Row: No 5 is Archie Kemp, father of Eoin & Stuart
Middle Row: No 7 is Ali Bruce, the original owner of Bruce's Stores in Victoria Street
Front Row: No 4 is my father Josh Gourlay, pharmacist at Boots.
There are other faces I recognise but can't name 'jist noo'.
If the year is right, Peter would be starting to work wi me Dad, and I was about to be born!!!

In the second row, second in from right is Sgt. Alex Mair of the Kirkwall Police Force. He had two daughters that I know off,t hey went to school about my time. Added by Phil Brough.

Middle Row No5 Looks like James W Inkster of Craigie and Inkster Cabinet makers. He was my great uncle.

My mistake, it should be Jim Fred BROWN rather than Burgess in the back row. He had a bakery and shop in the 'Hope, on the site of the Cafe than now bears nis name.

Alex Mair had three daughters - Sheena (or Sheila?) Helen and Sadie and one son Jack - we lived next to them in Manse Road and later two doors away in Nicolson Street. The whole family moved to Aberdeen sometime in the sixties
