Gable end of Mackays buildings Junction Rd. At one time this was Campbell's Glass and China shop

Quite right - Ivydean, the ground floor of which was the shop of Mackay's Furniture Stores. Until the building was converted to flats in the 1980s there were stone skews on the gable with a stone finial at the peak. I think "W H" must stand for William Hutchison, the merchant who built it.
