I do not have a "last sailing " date, but have a pic of her still on the route in March of 2001, entering the Cromarty Firth.

I was onboard for the last trip from Kirkwall to Dundee where she was laid up. I checked my discharge book which was dated 30/04/01 so the last time she left Kirkwall was on the 29th. We had one hell of a party on the way down with the drink and food all the farmers and local companies gave us. Good ship & crew.

I was a passenger going south on what I thought was the last trip but in fact it was the trip when the crew finally heard of their fate by telephone, not from their employers but from the 'Orcadian' newspaper. The call was to let them know that O.I.C. had decided not to continue funding.
