Where about is this Cleat in Orkney?
I remember a Cleat up East Road and past Waterfield - not the Seater direction but left towards Blackha' or Work. It was a Rendall family who lived there when I was peedie in the nineteen-sixties! I think there was a gentleman from Cleat called Alfie who visited our neighbour Miss Mary Jean Turffis. She lived in Little Alton. I’m sure Alfie must have been born around 1900. Does anyone remember this gentleman and I’d love to see photos if possible.

But why wouldn't it be Cleat in Westray? Aren't those Cleat cottages to the left? Cleat in Westray was never renovated so is a gorgeous inhabited house. Aren't those Coopers the family of author "Pot of broth"? Just curious
