The lounge bar of the Queen's Hotel (or whatever pretentious name the new owners are going to give it)on the night of my father's blackening, October 1955. Photo by, I think, A Cromarty. I don't know who the barman was.

Barman was my father - John Maclean, who spent many happy hours at both sides of this bar!

I well remember him and many others. Lovely soda water syphons. My father, Sandy Heddle, former proprietor, gave me 2 silver syphon bottle holders before he passed.
