Two lifeboats at Buckie.

I took this photo at Buckie in July 2007. I am sure that one
of the boats was from Orkney , i also took a photo of the stern but i have lost it. Can anyone tell me which is the
Orkney lifeboat and its name?

52-43, The Queen Mother - Longhope

Added by Longhope Spoot on 16 March 2009
The Queen Mother was the Thurso Lifeboat and after a Severn class was alocated to Thurso we asked if she could come to Longhope as she was newer than the ex Stornoway boat we had.
After the slipway at Brims was closed in 1999 we had a number of Arun class boats on station and found them to be very good indeed.
But the Queen Mother was the best of them all. She had been looked after very well and in a way we were sorry to see her go but time and changes need to happen and the present boat is so much faster and advanced.
