What a lovely pic and a nice reminder of the times spent with "The Diggers"

Didn't you find something in bronze that had fallen out of the cliff Sean?
I thought that started the investigations off.
You'll note from the smoke that the living room fire has just been lit at North Myre!

Lol! karl, no it wasn't me!
My grandad had assorted bits and pieces that had come from the cliff face and the field. I have a few bits of pottery that I found in the spoil heaps.
i remember Raymond Lamb coming round, before the diggers came from Bradford, to look at the cliff.
I noticed that the lum was reeking when I spotted the photo.
when exactly was the photo taken? I am trying to narrow down the date. It seems strange that there is no-one working in the trenches and the 'finds hut' where andrea and jackie worked is missing.
the diggers came in 83 and had three small trenches that year and I think 88 was their last year at pool.
i have some photos I took that I really must get scanned and added to this site.
