German trawlers

The two trawlers are about to head back to Germany. The Adolphe Hennecke ran aground on Swona in thick fog, she was refloated and towed to Longhope.

Comments:
The "Adolphe Henneche" was I think from East Germany maybe it was Rostock. She was refloated and towed to Longhope by the Lifeboat, this at a time when the cold war was at its height.

The "Karl Marxs" was sent to recover the sister ship from Longhope.
Robbie Johnston was knocked overboard from the Lifeboat as the ship came astern and the tow came over the Lifeboat as she came clear of the shore. She had damaged her rudder and was unable to steer so the Lifeboat had to put a tow on her to guide her to a safe berth in Longhope.
I mind them coming up the bay, the trawler seemed big astern of the Lifeboat.
