shows HMS Goldfinch in happier times, before being wrecked on Start Point. The three pictures show the surviving wreckage.

'[Top picture shows] the bow/forefoot of HMS Goldfinch on Start point in Sanday. It along with another bit would make excellent displays at Lyness.'
'[Middle picture features] another bit of HMS Goldfinch showing a porthole with the distinctive "eyebrow" over it.'

When she was wrecked - she was commanded by my grandfather, Reginald Guy Stone.
